Temporary Footpath Closure Avoncliff to Freshford

NOTE: It is anticipated that the path will only be closed for approximately two weeks


BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL

(FOOTPATH BA12/5, FRESHFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2015

Notice is hereby given that the Bath and North East Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close the footpath on that length of Footpath BA12/5, Freshford between grid references ST 7947 5994 and ST 7959 5985.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath consequent upon the repairs to the surface of the footpath alongside the bank of the River Avon, and will be operative from 1st August 2015 for a maximum period of 6 months. The footpath will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.  This is anticipated to be for a period of 6 months.

Alternative route:  Staples Hill – Westwood and vice versa.
